California: Beginning of Travel

We had planned for a long time California sightseeing tours. We read all the information about sights, which gave us a travel agency and the third day of our vacation we went to the bus station in Ocean City, Maryland. Our trip began with a trip to New York on a night bus. Five hours later we were in New York and lunched in the open 24 hour McDonalds. The next morning, arriving to the airport JFK, we boarded the plane and were on our way to the first sightseeing in our plan - Las Vegas and five hours later we went out under the scorching California sun. Before sunset, we had lain on the shore hotel pool, to gather strength for our onward travel. And we went in search of adventure the evening. Las Vegas is lights and a stream of cars, slot machines. In general, the center of the city is one street, called the Strip. It built up huge hotel. There is a giant casino in the lobby of each of them. Each hotel is devoted to any subject: there is Paris with a copy of the Eiffel Tower, New York. There is hotel Caesar, where Roman statues side by side with chic boutiques. Hotel Venice is very impressive, where reproduced almost life-size area of St. Mark. There are channels, through which the gondoliers ride public, and even at night you think that is the day. In addition, each hotel will organize some event: a volcanic eruption, a circus performance, competition fountains or aviary with live tigers. Hotel Treasure Island is a local sight, it make the battle of the two pirate ships in the evening. The next item on our travel was San Francisco. The travel agency booked us a night flight (in order to save our money), because the fly only half an hour. People say that San Francisco is the most beautiful city in California, and indeed in America. Firstly, it is located in the hills, that is, species and prospects from any angle are magnificent, though you should be in good shape for hiking. Also, city stands on the shore of the bay, the ocean is visible from everywhere. It’s very impressive. Thirdly a lot of buildings are the Victorian era; this is two-storey houses for one family with different balconies of different shapes and colors. This city of California is very green; there is a gigantic park on the ocean. But the most surprising is the atmosphere of the city. Everything is very quiet here, stress free. People are friendly, like everywhere else in America. We liked San Francisco very much!
